For Contributions to Education
Philadelphia - Dec. 2, 2004 - John J. Moscatelli, APR, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Anne Klein & Associates, received the Anthony Fulginiti Award for Outstanding Contributions to Education at the annual awards dinner of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) held in Philadelphia yesterday.
The award honors a public relations professional who shares a commitment to the future of the public relations profession through mentoring or teaching, and who helps to shape the careers of future public relations professionals. The award is named in honor of the well-known Rowan University professor, Anthony J. Fulginiti.
Moscatelli has been active in furthering education for nearly 20 years, following his U.S. Air Force career as a public affairs officer. For more than 10 years, he has taught a graduate level course on crisis communication and is an adjunct faculty member at Rowan University. He has lectured extensively at area universities including Temple, LaSalle, Villanova, Drexel and Penn. He has served as a professional advisor to master's degree candidates and mentored scores of students.
Anne Sceia Klein, APR, Fellow, PRSA, presented the award to Moscatelli on behalf of the PRSA chapter. "John's hard work and dedication to education make him a worthy recipient of this award and I am thrilled to present it to him," Klein said. Klein was the first recipient of the Fulginiti Award in 1988.
